Stephen King Gives Max Donation to Maine Democrats

Maine's most famous author also writes the biggest check for the state's Democratic party. Stephen King has already given $10,000 to the Maine Democratic State Committee, which is the maximum amount an individual may give in a calendar year.

No other individual in Maine has given the max amount to the Democrats yet (Democratic party data goes through the end of August per FEC reports).

King's Democratic affiliations are well-known. He has given at least $89,350 to Democrats over the years, including campaign contributions for active politicians in the party such as Rep. Mike Michaud, Rep. Chellie Pingree and President Barack Obama.

On the Republican side, 5 individuals have donated the maximum amount to the state party committee thus far. And the state Republican disclosure data only goes through June 30. It's possible that even more big checks have gone to GOP coffers in recent months.

...invading citizens' homes and killing them family by family, while robbing them of their life savings. One family will be cast as the hero(es) and will not only resist the onslaught, but will also prevail in the end by killing the killers--in self-defense, of course.
