Now we see why gay marriage is illegal. Wait—no, actually, we still don’t

2. "Teh Menz kissing" . . . or Levi-cuts 30x36 . . . or man on dog . . . or something . . .
You gotta admit, the pearl clutcher's "reasons" are getting to be pretty comedic in their patheticness. Is that a word? :)

9. A bit of irony, though...
Lots of them who are worried about "teh menz kissing" don't seem to get all that upset...and are actually pretty happy to see..."teh wimmenz kissing".

Especially if the kissing wimmenz is HOT.

go figure...

8. For various reasons, the couple on the right may not be able to procreate.
But they are able to get married (and have their marriage universally recognized throughout the country) just the same.

6. In one marriage dynamic, the surviving spouse can claim benefits accrued by the other
Republicans can say it's about something else (and part of it may be), but in the final analysis, it's about the money.

SS needs the money "left behind" by single people., When same-sex couples can claim survivorship, and can use marriage benefits on taxes, there will be money "lost" to the system.

Since republicans tend to lay claim to "all the money", they take this sort of thing personally.

14. When did he say that?
I'm pretty sure that at no time he has said "one is sanctified by God and the other is not".

Do you have a link?

15. ...
http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/god-and-country/2009/10/15/is-obama-having-it-both-ways-on-gay-marriage

Explaining his opposition to gay marriage in 2004, Obama said, "I'm a Christian, and so although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman.''

Could be a religious thing. Could be that he just thinks gay marriage is icky.

Oh my god. Someone said she must still be acting. Now that would be genius. Sadly, I don't think it is.
