Meet the largest Private land owner in America
Mr Malone, 70, is a media mogul like Mr Turner, 72, and the two are friends, but now the younger topped the older by an extra 200,000 acres.

Mr Malone has not limited himself to terrain or climate, owning properties in New Mexico, Wyoming, his home state of Colorado, and most recently Maine and New Hampshire. To put his land in perspective, 2.2million acres is approximately 34,357 square miles, making it just under the size of the middle eastern country Jordan (34,495 square miles) and just over the size of Serbia (34,116 square miles).

Mr Malone owns Liberty Media Company, which has majority or large ownership stakes in a number of more familiar franchises like the QVC home shopping network, Sirius XM satellite radio, travel website Expedia.com, and, notably, the Atlanta Braves.

1. Basically, he's just getting started.
I'm sure that he's not done yet.

If he sees more to own, then he'll go after it.

After all, in America, he knows that he's the only one who matters.
