What happened to CNN? I apparently missed something.
Edited on Fri Oct-14-11 05:45 AM by Firebrand Gary
CNN used to be a center network, now it's a right wing propaganda machine that is taking on the resemblance of Fox News. Ironically they now are bouncing news anchors back and forth.

Ed Henry's highly inappropriate question to the President.

I watched the clip and was literally dumbfounded that Ed Henry asked the question that he did at a time when Obama was having a joint press conference with the President of Korea. Henry asked the President for his response to what Mitt Romney said about the President during his speech at the Citadel.

Romney stated something like Failed, failing, failure Obama has made our country weaker, if that is what you want a weak country, then don't vote for me, you have that President today.

During this conference? Really? Fucking Fox News.

3. No , I knew that. My post signifies that in the body.
But what happened to CNN? CNN is clearly a right wing network, I saw the tilt at the time of the BP Oil Spill and since then it has been right winger news.

5. It wasn't this bad when Ted Turner still had his hand in things.

10. It happened before that.
A few years back, I wrote an angry e-mail to CNN when they switched from live coverage of John Kerry speaking on the floor of the Senate to archived footage of some RWer, "for balance," they said. I have rarely watched CNN since. :grr:

4. That wasn't the time for questions about
stupid campaign rhetoric; however, if the question had been about another candidate's views on trade agreements, that would have been a good time for it, although a little late.

8. Remember when CNN brought us daily reports of The Rapture Index a few years ago?
They're a shameless joke, like Fox Noose.

9. They didn't used to be "center", they used to be straight news.
and I guess they started the slide about ten years ago and it has heated up in the last five in an effort to capture Faux viewers and more corporate ad dollars.

Now news essentially does not exist in the mainstream as you have far right propaganda, right/center right distraction, and establishment Democratic pundantry.
