Good News / Bad News ---as I see it--- on Real Time with Bill Maher at 10/HBO ---Details:
The GOOD news is my "beloved" Thom Hartman is on.
The BAD news is he has to deal with Michelle Caruso-Cabrera.

If you don't know why that's bad news, then I suspect at the end of the show, should she show her nit-wit stuff, you will be all clear on that.

Lineup:

Michelle Caruso-Cabrera

Dr. Robert Jeffress

4. I don't mind Penn Jillette so much, he's socially liberal, economically right wing.
The question is what he'll say about OWS. He comes off as a blow hard most of the time but if you watch Penn Point (his YouTube show) you'll find him being a lot cooler headed and kinder. I dunno, maybe it's just me.

17. Not really, he makes it clear the necessity for socialized roads, etc.
Fire departments, etc. Basically anything that will have a natural monopoly.

22. He is a moderate libertarian
He isn't one of the whacko libertarians that think the private sector could build our highways and run our military. He believes in the smallest government necessary. When I visited the Occupy Indianapolis protests (they are still going on, but only a dozen or so people now vs about 500 last weekend), the group was about a third Ron Paul supporters. These were the moderate libertarians that still believe there is a need for the government to provide for the people, but disagree with the federal department of education, FEMA (I work in the field and 100% agree on that one), and the Federal Reserve.

On a side note: I find it funny when people talk about Libertarians as if there is only one type. They accept that Democrats and Republicans can have countless different viewpoints within the party, but Libertarians must all believe in the exact set of values in which you have decided are what they believe in.

5. I'm hoping he will. I'm still looking for a way to tell him
how quickly I'll turn off his show if he lets PJORourke dominate again.
EVER.
I can't find a link to give feedback to him.

11. Yeah, I hate when he ends segments letting some idiot spew a lie and moving on w/o debunking it.
He should almost always get the last word in but he moves on to the next talking point letting some BS go unchecked.

15. His book, "The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight" changed the way I view the world.
I had just started reading Common Dreams & read a Thom Hartmann article. About a week later I was in a used book store & saw the book so I bought it. I've been a big fan ever since. "Unequal Protection" is an incredible work.

18. I'm all but certain it is panel! Hartman kept telling he'd be on during his radio
show today. I don't think he would have done that if it were not panel.

24. Worst Maher Show Ever.

You know you've got a problem when the most enlightening segment is the interview with that Dallas megachurch pastor who referred to Mormonism as a cult.

C'mon, Bill, quit coasting. And never, ever invite that half-wit John Fund back on the show.....
