Occupy: YOUR LIFE!
Some simple things you can do to help.

1; take your money out of the banks and put it in a credit union. Seriously, why anyone would use a bank for anything blows my mind.

2. Know your brewer! Drink locally.

3. Know your grocer or farmer. Eat Local. Farmers Markets, the butcher shop etc.....

4; Know the owner of the restaurant you go to. Eat Local. Screw the giant chains. Fast Food is one of the worst things that is hapening to the planet.

5.STOP FUCKING SMOKING CIGARETTES! Not only for the obvious reasons, but also because they are exactly what is wrong with the world.

6. CALL A SOLAR INSTALLER NOW AND start turning your home into an energy production plant.

BE ACTIVE! Write to your Reps, write letters to the Editor. Keep the pressure on.

3. Waste of time writing to your Reps. Unless you're one of the lucky
few whose Rep isn't bought by Wall St. We did that, they didn't respond, kept on voting for Wars and the agenda of Global Capitalists no matter what we did, so now they are no longer worth OUR attention. If they want to keep their jobs, things are going to be different from now on. No more 'lesser of two evils'. If you do call them, tell them either they refuse to take Wall St. donations for their reelection campaigns, or be challenged by people who work for the people. And their funding will be published so that voters can recognize a Wall Street Candidate.

Otherwise I agree with your post :-)

12. There are so many commodities, ores, gems, that the exact same could be said about. Ridiculous
to pick on one. I don't like nannies whether it's abortion or cigs or mj. Personal choice is just that, get over it.

10. Build your own computers, don't buy pre-built.
And before you get on me about the parts being made elsewhere, a lot of the companies that make those parts are US based. Some even manufacture them here (PC Power & Cooling is a good example). Do some research before you buy, but handling your own technical support is a lot better than dealing with India tech centers and Geek Squad.

17. Choking yourself with a USB cord is better than dealing with Geek Squad
And I will have the pleasure of dealing with tech support in India tomorrow morning to resolve my timesheet.

until I could no longer see well enough close up to do so.

Now, how do you build a widescreen laptop?

23. Yeah - you really cant yet.
But at least with laptops - buy from a smaller American based vendor that's more likely to have service and technical support as American based rather than India or China based.

15. I think 7 is important...
write actual letters where you buy stamps and mail them.

Use the back of those pre-printed credit card offers or mortgage modification offers to write your letters.

24. I have an IPA I brewed last week sitting and waiting for bottling in another...

And I only drink microbrews - everything from the big box companies like Bud, Miller or Coors is shit, and I always laugh at those stupid Miller Lite commercials.
