Pictures from the Occupy Macon Solidarity March, 10-15-11

It was just a small demonstration in Macon, Georgia (approximately thirty for the General Assembly, and only about fifteen of us who actually marched), but it was a beautiful day for it, and we made a good show--standing and marching in solidarity with all the 99% around the globe who came out in force today.

We're scheduled to meet again next week. Let us hope the entire movement continues to grow.

2. Everything worth while starts small so it can grow naturally
I think most people simply have no idea this is happening. That's why they don't show up at first. Not because they don't agree. After all they are the 99% too.

4. I tend to agree.
Most people really don't know what is happening. That's why it's so important to be visible. We got an article in the local paper today. A lot more people here will know about the OWS/99% movement tomorrow.

3. The online version of the Macon Telegraph has a story on it.
Edited on Sat Oct-15-11 09:03 PM by Laelth
Joining a national movement that began on Wall Street, protesters gathered shortly past noon at the intersection of Cherry and Third streets, where they had obtained a permit for the protest.

When asked about their beliefs, answers were varied and sometimes vague, but opposition to “corporate greed” seemed to be the most common theme.
