Occupy Tallinn, Estonia!

The newspaper Postimees reported that "hundreds" of people took part in protests in Estonia's capital, Tallinn. I couldn't find an English version, but here's the link anyway.

And by the way, Kalle Lasn of Adbusters, one of the people who came up with the Occupy Wall Street concept, is a Canadian of Estonian heritage.

Estonia has been occupied most of the time since a Pope preached a crusade against them in the 12th century. The only times it has been free since then are between the first and second world wars, and from 1991 to the present. That's only about 40 years of freedom.

Estonians are VERY familiar with being occupied and oppressed.

5. I do know they've been getting crushed economically

Went from riding high a few years ago to being really laid low by the general economic meltdown. You don't hear about it much -- and I don't have the details -- but I'm sure they've got plenty to protest about.
