This isn't a contest on who picks up more trash. Seems like your FB "friend" really doesn't want to address the issues that OWS is protesting about but would rather divert attention to what I suspect are pretty isolated incidents.

If you get that many people together in one place there will always be a few bad apples. MOst everyone is behaving themselves pretty well IMHO.

Tell them the 1% they support are stupidly trashing the only planet we all have, day after day after day, and that they don't care about the Tea Party being clean or not. Their economic system, based on the wrong premise of unlimited growth, is leading the species living on Earth to a final annihilation. There is no other end of the road. There is no other planet to escape to. Mars is too cold and mostly a desert.

Of course, even that will not make them think, so just tell them and go do something useful. They will never change before it's too late to change.

I post "this crap" because some of us live in redder areas (I happen to be in a redder area of a blue state) and we have to deal with this on a daily basis.

*Some* of us are in the trenches for spirited debate, and a little conscience building. Sometimes you change something. Sometimes you don't. But for the five or six that *I* personally have switched from one side to another just by not taking their crap (in this case, it is the LIE that Tea Baggers never leave parks dirty when in fact they did)

Sometimes you have to disengage. Sometimes you have to reload and let those fuckers know that you are NOT backing down.
