OMG! Extensive ties to a powerful Koch group boost Cain
http://news.yahoo.com/extensive-ties-powerful-koch-group-boost-cain-085542290.html

AP By RYAN J. FOLEY - Associated Press | AP – 38 mins ago

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Herman Cain has cast himself as the outsider, the pizza magnate with real-world experience who will bring fresh ideas to the nation's capital. But Cain's economic ideas, support and organization have close ties to two billionaire brothers who bankroll right-leaning causes through their group Americans for Prosperity.

Cain's campaign manager and a number of aides have worked for Americans for Prosperity, or AFP, the advocacy group founded with support from billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch, which lobbies for lower taxes and less government regulation and spending. Cain credits a businessman who served on an AFP advisory board with helping devise his plan to rewrite the nation's tax code. And his years of speaking at AFP events have given the businessman and radio host a network of loyal grassroots fans.

2. Look Cain is in the race to attack his own race
Clearly some rich group is behind the bogus straw polls and other polls.
It won't help ReTHUGS - they are still racists.

5. I don't recall that Alan Keyes ever had such powerful backers as the Koch brothers
Cain's true popularity is quite limited, but it means he'll be a hanger-on for much longer with Koch's megabucks propping up his Potemkin village of a campaign.

7. I think it is a good that to have Cain hang on for awhile.
And now more people will catch on to what the Koch brother are up to.

8. I don't believe the Koch brothers are deluded enough to believe
that Herman Cain stands the proverbial snowball's chance of getting elected - much less receiving the repug nomination. I believe his purpose is to attempt stirring up discontent among African American voters against Barack Obama. Clueless as the Kochs & Cain are, however, all efforts will fall flat on their face.

6. Progressives should be SUPPORTING Cain to win the nomination!
Obama would beat Cain 45-5 statewide - easily. It would be a landslide.

9. Still, tho, it would be nice if the Repubbies ever mustered a candidate with some solutions
other than signing the US Treasury over to their fatcat Republicon, Inc. cronies...
