Cleveland Police Officers donate supplies to Occupy Cleveland.
Edited on Sun Oct-16-11 07:53 AM by Ian David
POLICE DROP SUPPLIES, 1 WEEK ANNIVERSARY, FEAGLER & FRIENDS

Today marked the one week anniversary for #OccupyCleveland. The past seven days have seen plenty of growth, intrigue and excitement. #OccupyCleveland has captured the hearts and minds of Clevelanders from all walks of life. Donations have come in from throughout the Greater Cleveland Area. Even the Cleveland Police Department has gotten into the act. Uniformed police officers dropped off coats and other supplies Tuesday night.

Yesterday, a representative from #OccupyCleveland spoke with radio personalities Benjamin Ruxroad and TJ Josza on Heads Up Arts Radio. A recording of the conversation can be found here:

Friday morning, two of #OccupyCleveland’s most trusted 99%’ers will join former Plain Dealer columnist Dick Feagler on Feagler & Friends for an episode set to air Friday at 8:30 PM and Sunday at 11:30 AM on WVIZ/PBS. The episode will also air Monday at 1:30 PM and 9:30 PM, as well as Tuesday at 5:30 AM, on The Ohio Channel.

Friday evening, #OccupyCleveland will have the great honor of hosting the first of what we hope will be many Friday evening General Assemblies at the Old Stone Church on Public Square at 6:00 PM. Friday evening’s General Assembly will include a forum on educational and policy issues. The hope is to give those unfamiliar with #OccupyWallStreet and #OccupyCleveland some context in which to view the movement. Representatives from Policy Matters, Move to Amend, American Friends Services and the Center for Community Solutions will be on hand to speak.

2. It wouldn't matter if the clothes were bugged
It's a peaceful demonstration.

3. this is how cynical I have become....when I read the police donated
coats...I thought of the blankets the Indians were given that carried disease.......shame on me.

I hope it was a true gesture on the part of the police....after all...they are part of the 99%.

6. They pitted us against each other
..hired half the Working Class to kill the other half.

People are waking up.

I think it was a true gesture on the part of the Police. I'm also sure that many of them would join us if they were able.

4. Cops are the 99%

They realize it in Cleveland.

Smart cops there.

Good leadership, judging by the gesture...

7. Yep. Most of Cleveland's cops are Blue Collar first, then Blue Cops.
They know that the OWS is on their side, they also know who the 99% are, and what the 1% want to do to their pensions, pay, and benefits.

Oh, and FUCK KASICH SIDEWAYS.

Vote No on Issue 2.
