As OWS escalates and gains momentum more and more
people will see that it is all a scam. That this country isn't a democracy and you have no rights. That the legal system allows the elitists to do what ever they please and the cops to do their bidding. The illusion will crumble and a new era will begin. An era where the people rule. A true democracy. It's time to attack them in all manners possible. Class action suits, close accounts, stop all purchases, etc. It's time for the world to be free of tyrants.

17. The american revolution fostered in a *representative* government, not pure
democracy. It's better known as mob rule. Is that what you want?

9. Can you point to a single example
where anarchy led to an actual improvement in the plight of ordinary people? Here's a good starting point:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anarchy

Can you argue - with a straight face - the the people were better off in the aftermath of the English Civil War, following the Reign of Terror subsequent to the French Revolution, or the years following the Russian Revolution? Eventually, conditions did improve, sure, but at what cost? Countless millions of lives lost, for one thing. I'm not so willing to accept that fate for the millions more who would perish after another round of anarchy and the rough beast - its time come 'round at last - that slouches toward us.

12. Are people better off under an orderly Bankster-Fed Fascist-Corp perpetual war machine?

13. Not the point
Point is, there are better ways to achieve a goal than anarchy, as seen by the demise of India's colonial rule, the US civil rights movement & the end of the Vietnam war.

15. Although the orderly, government regulated war machine took a step back in the aftermath of Vietnam
it soon regained its stride with a Grenada invasion, numerous Libyan bombings, the Persian Gulf War, a Somalia deployment, the bombing of Bosnia, the invasion of Afghanistan, the invasion of Iraq, and now a never ending war on terror.

18. None of those examples you listed were anarchist.
Look up anarchist Spain to see what an actual anarchist community is like.

22. one thing the Russian Revolution was NOT is anarchy. The anarchist movement was in Spain.
The Russian Revolution never had anarchy even as a teeny tiny part of one of its goals.

2. However, "The illusion will crumble and a new era will begin" could take a generation.
The old way never gives up without a long and difficult struggle.

5. Or even longer. But at least
the real conversations are being started. We have a lot to unlearn and re-learn before we can even conceive of a new era.

And you're right, it will be a struggle. We are already seeing how threatened the ruling class is by what is happening now. Just imagine how it would/will be if there is real ideology behind the movement.

We have a long way to go. But something is finally starting here in the belly of the beast. The conditions are so bad for so many that people's consciousness is waking up.

We have a lot of dots to connect but we have started the process.

14. We do have the vote
It's up to us to use it wisely, rather than succumbing to the slick ads the rich put out and then blaming them for doing it.

Get involved in local politics instead of just blaming others and trying to ruin a good system.

20. As OWS escalates and gains momentum more and more
...but without a unifying goal or message, the odds are that something tragic will occur and TPTB will be able to paint the entire movement as deranged.
