Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz: The GOP Is 'Hoping For Failure' For The Economy

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz accused the Republican Party of acting in bad faith in economic negotiations on Sunday, saying the GOP was allowing the economy to "remain stagnant" in order to score political points.

"We need Republicans and Democrats to work together," said Wasserman Schultz on CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday morning, when asked about opposition to President Obama's jobs plan. "You know, where is the leadership on the Republican side? You want to talk about sitting on the sidelines? They're the ones that have just been crossing their arms and hoping for failure. I mean ... it's so irresponsible for them to allow the economy to just remain stagnant, you know, so that they can get a political victory in the election next year."

(snip)
"I have tremendous respect for Senator Tester, but, you know, to be opposed to legislation because it doesn't do enough when we can't even get the Republicans to support what the president has proposed? You know, I have respect for his opinion but the American people right now need us to put a shot in the arm to the economy so that we can continue to get it turned around," said Wasserman Schultz.

3. the Dow is being propped up....
there's a silly rightwing 'your money' show on local reactionary radio that says that the economy is totally broke and the best idea is to buy gold/diamonds and so on (which the showmen sell, btw) the progran says outright that SOMEONE is buying stock in order to keep the DOW from falling, which would lead to run on US dollar (which is 'worthless' due to the Fed printing gazillions$ ) and avoid impending disaster. Regardless of how dishonest these goofs are (talking about a 'bull market' referring to precious metals market only, while blindly ignoring their own message about the larger stock market, and how it's being phonied up!) literally whistling past the graveyard!
That wasserman shultz creeture needs to wake up. Who on earth does she think she is conning?
