Diane Sawyer gets first interview with astronaut Mark Kelly, husband of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords

In his first interview since the tragic shootings in Tucson, Arizona last weekend, Mark Kelly sits down with “World News” anchor Diane Sawyer to talk about the recovery of his wife, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

The interview will air in a special “20/20″ Tuesday night. ABC puts it this way: “She is the political centrist who likes to ride motorcycles. He is the NASA astronaut set to command the space shuttle Endeavour’s final mission to space this April. The two met in China and their first date was not a typical one – a trip to an Arizona State Prison; she was working on legislation about capital punishment. Now, their relationship has captured the hearts of America.”

“The Congresswoman and the Astronaut: An American Story of Love and Strength” airs Tuesday, at 10pm ET/PT with portions airing Tuesday morning on ”GMA.”

They've already made their lives sound like some quickly made for teevee movie.

Sorry. ABC sold it commercial, and likely cheapens that which exists between them, while at the same time waving a shiny, glistening object before America's eyes. "Look here, not there!"

Yes, that's right, I'm just perfectly horrible. Wretched, in fact.
