NYPD cop who sucker punched #OWS protester abused other demonstators
http://www.lefthudson.com/2011/10/nypd-cop-who-sucker-punched-ows.html

The police officer who brutally grabbed and slugged an #OccupyWallStreet protester has been identified by the New York Daily News as Deputy Inspector Johnny Cardona, and it appears that Cardona has quickly established a track record of mistreating #OWS protesters, apparently for no good reason.

The demonstrator, Felix Rivera-Pitre, was videotaped being punched by Cardona while walking away from him on Friday, and the video is now well-known. Police are considering pressing charges against Rivera-Pitre, but there is no evidence that the protester did anything illegal, despite several video cameras documenting the event.

Lesser known is the video that is of the prelude to the infamous "pepper spray" video of two weeks ago. It appears that Cardona is the same officer that flew into a rage and grabbed a female protester by the neck and head, forcing her to the pavement, and kicking her two weeks ago. By looking at the video, this attack appears to be unprovoked as well.

1. The sad thing is that nothing will happen

4. His oath to "defend & protect" the citizenry was trumped by J.P. Morgan's $4.7 million donation
to the NYC police department. Money buys government, right down to the police. Dirty kickbacks used to be hush-hush but, apparently, that's no longer the case.

5. If this is what America has become
we can take it back one protest at a time. The banksters don't have to be their masters anymore.

6. What these protesters are doing gives me hope. I'm so proud of their self-discipline.
I hope they continue their restraint. The police seem to come up with one petty or dangerous tactic after another to force the protesters into a confrontation. And because the protesters haven't gotten down to their level after one month of protesting, I'm in awe of them; it's really commendable. They're tenacious, well-mannered, responsible, & have good heads.

2. Why is he allowed to continue patrolling OWS? He should be sitting behind a desk

until he's permanently fired for abusing the public.

3. I'd like to drain his bank account of his life savings and freeze his credit cards.
Maybe when he knows poverty first hand will he know to treat these people more humanely.
