Wow...financial reporter just skewered Joe Scum on his own show...

Joe was being his usual asshole sarcastic self, asking if the bankers were nervous, their top hats and ascots askew, whether he'll have to start burning $100 bills to stay warm. She went off on him, saying "You're the problem, Joe. It's that kind of attitude and sarcasm that is fueling this movement. Wall Street is in lock down now, and you're the reason." It was. Kinda bizarre...something Francis was her name. Haven't seen her on MoJo before. May not again after that.

He is vile most of the time and I don't believe he truly supports OWS. She is obviously a WS mouthpiece but she did smack him down.

7. It was in the final 45 minutes. Melissa Francis.

I heard her again on satellite radio on the way into work, during Chucky's show. She was covering the European Occupy protests in that segment. Interestingly, when I checked the Morning Joe web site, she is listed as a guest tomorrow, though I didn't see her on-air for more than a couple of minutes today, via remote. But I also didn't see the entire show.

My quote in the OP isn't verbatim...Joe's "burning $100 bills" comment wasn't actually in the same sentence the way I wrote it. When he said it she pretended to reach into her pockets and said (again, not verbatim quotes) "I don't have $100 bills to burn, Joe...it's people like you making the big bucks."

It was a brief segment, like maybe they were trying her out as the new Erin Burnett. Epic fail.

(on Edit, for typos and to add the correct name) BTW, unless someone DVR'd it, I doubt it will show up on MSNBC's site. While she was actually rather cordial and pleasant, her words were biting...unless I missed something, and she was just being sarcastic, too.

Joe Scarborough doesn't have the nerve to step into the fray. I'm sure he agrees that they're all just dirty hippies. He'd get driven out of the square just like Geraldo Rivera was driven out. He IS part of the problem.
