Here's what my neighbor did after the offending driver rolled on.
That driver had put thumbs down and mouthed: "NO"

For weeks on Mondays at rush hour we have stood there calling attention to Hunger / Support of the President's Jobs plan.
The apathy of the drivers and the rarity of the honks can be discouraging, yet we persevere.

TODAY was different. The cacophony of car horns was amazing.
WE HAVE BEGUN TO WAKE THEM UP - OWS - is rousing the 99% out of their deep sleep and except for a few like the person described above, our experience today was an amazing honk fest of support.

I'm very happy to report this from my small Southern town.
The excitement and the stirrings were palpable.

2. No? The driver does not want less hunger and more jobs?
What is wrong with people?

7. until it's him. the trouble is they think if you don't have a job it's because you are lazy
and if you are without food it's because you are lazy. It's easier for them than facing the reality that this could be them. This could be any of us.

6. LOVE IT!!!
Thanks for the report. Encouraging! Well, except for the few assholes you still have to deal with. That little "salute" is quite fitting.

EXCELLENT work!!! Sheesh - maybe we really ARE starting to wake them up? That would be SO amazing!

who also would have done the same thing.
