13. Weren't those mail order tickets just great?
I used to have a big stack of them, but where they are now, I haven't a clue. That one is very cool! I had had a great time at the '92 shows I attended, especially Deer Creek.

15. I still have all mine
i don't know how - in many of those lsd fueled days - that i managed to keep them, but i did. yes The Dead had a WONDERFUL mailorder ticket service - cheaper, no ticketmaster fee, and no ugly generic ticketmaster ticket. i'd say mine are about half and half as i'd often go to a show, then end up at the next one and have to buy the ticketmaster tic. I was at RFK in DC in `92 when they broke out Casey Jones for the first time after an 8 year absence - man there was something in the air (heheh) that night! :smoke:

17. Yep, the mail order tickets always had something interesting
printed on them, not like the generic tickets. I waited in line at the mall for tickets plenty of times, though. Those were the good old days, when you could meet people in line waiting to buy tickets and then see them again at the show. Mail order was easier and less expensive. Ruby was the best! Good for you keeping all your tickets. Now I wish I'd kept mine...

19. Aw, what a sweet offer. I'm pretty sure my ex has a bunch of our
old tickets in his top drawer and I could go get them if I really wanted to. And now that I'm thinking about it, I just might!

23. I was there! Alpine was a very cool place to see them.
Especially in the early 80's when I lived about half an hour from there. We could set up a tent with everyone else and still go home to sleep and shower. Those really were the good old days, lol.

haven't done in several years. From what I've heard online, they sound pretty good now and I'm really looking forward to it.

30. I know the feeling... Friends asked me if I wanted to get tix and I `
had to say no. A few minutes before ticketmaster tix went on sale, I got a call from the ex saying he didn't understand why he'd changed his whole life, stopped smoking weed, stopped going to shows, stopped doing everything fun and wanted to know if I'd go with him if he got tickets. So, I'm going. I'm not quite sure if that was the right decision, but I'm going anyway, lol

31. Hell yeah
go - have fun. :) every time i used to stop smoking weed i'd go - what the fuck am i doing, i love smoking weed. lol. now a days i take a couple months off a year to clear out my lungs (blech) but soon i'll move onto a vaporizer or cooking it into brownies and won't have that problem. life is hard and quite a mess these days - so have fun indeed - maybe yr ex is figuring that out as well. :toast:

37. I was in the 3rd row, right in front of Jerry the first night. The second
night, I have no idea where I was, but it sure was fun... I was at all those Alpine shows you mentioned, too. One of those years there was a JGB show at Alpine with Bobby (and the midnights??) opening. Bobby sang Misty, which was hilarious. Did you go to that one, too?

Weir and Wasserman. That was a fun night - very small crowd and very good music.

was always playing there, playing close enough for me to go see them was a rare occurrence.
