1. Very astute
"The ones who have gotten over slavery are okay. Some of my best friends are black."

2. Prediction: It will be revealed that Cain is involved in a tawdry sex scandal.
Edited on Mon Oct-17-11 09:27 PM by chollybocker
A convenient Rovian orchestration, of course. Meanwhile, Mitt will have a few months respite from the tricky gotcha questions on the nooz. Republicans are anti-vetters. The less truth, the better. Cain is merely a tool for them to push the crazy meter to 11.

4. It's insulting to think African-Americans would vote for him simply because he's black
Do they really think that African-Americans will fall for the GOP saying "See, we got us our own black guy" routine?

14. Problem is that Cain is slightly to the right of David Duke on race issues
Wish that were hyperbole, but it's not really that far off mark.

13. Well, remember, we were all supposed to vote for McCain/Palin
because she was a woman. You know, all the disillusioned Hillary supporters would jump right over to her. But then these idiots are used to telling the stupid what to think and unfortunately, it has been working (think Fox viewers).

5. Herman Cain is the last best hope for the Republicans to solve their minority "problem".
Their base is shrinking as white, christian and male becomes an smaller piece of the voter pie.

The Republicans have been waging war on minorities for decades now.

Anybody who can do the math knows that unless they change something, the Republicans just can't field enough gullible people to overcome the sheer numbers. That's why they are moving to particularly insidious tactics to disenfranchise as many voters as possible. It's a numbers game.

10. Don't forget, they have Rubio for that, too.
Can anyone here imagine a Cain-Rubio ticket?

6. It's more than that, much more:
1. Look! Black guy! We're not racist!
2. Wow! Herman Cain is so crazy he makes Perry and Romney look damn near presidential.
3. See? Black people are so obviously incompetent that they're not fit to be POTUS.

It's just like Harriet Miers, only this time it's black instead of female.

7. It's that Stephen Colbert skit --- I DON"T SEE COLOR LOOK I HAVE
a black friend! Then when the friend "disappoints" him (for instance attending a protest) he has to audition others to take his place, lol.

9. Oh, it certainly is
There are people who voted for Barack Obama to get to a post-racial society, and since that didn't work out, they've been stuck.

Let's face it, should the President be defeated in next year's election, charges of racism will ring out across the land. But, here comes the "some of my best friends are black" dream candidate, Herman Cain, who keeps that from happening!

15. Herm hates people like they do, and he's more than willing to validate their racist views.
It's your fault if you don't have a job, Black people are brainwashed, Black people use racism as an excuse to not work, blah, blah.

He is HORRIBLE.
