Occupy K Street.
Is this happening? If not, it should be.

1. From the moment I first heard about OWS
I thought 'Occupy K Street' was the natural progression.

2. There is a Occupy K Street
There are two Occupy camps in D.C. One is the October 2011/Stop the Machine group camped at Freedom Plaza on Penn. Ave. the other is the Occupy D.C. group located at McPherson Square which is on K Street. The October 2011 group was planned back in April. The Occupy D.C. group started more organically as a result of Occupy Wall Street. The Freedom Plaza group is a lot of older people who have been protesting the wars for 10 years, Veterans for Peace, Code Pink, etc. The McPherson Square group is mostly young 20 something aged people. The two groups participate in marches together and have a liaison that goes back and forth.

I was camped out in Freedom Plaza from Oct 7 to Oct 15. Taking part in actions every day. At Air & Space when the pepper spray incident occurred and was arrested last Tuesday for "disruption of Congress" at the Dirksen Senate office building.

7. I certainly hope so. I can't think of anything more salutary for the well-heeled heels...
...in those multi-name offices than to watch a silent crowd gather slowly until it fills the entire street, with their signs about "No Corporate Personhood" etc., held in front of them.

Well, unless it was a tumbril-building party right outside their doors, but that's a bit extreme.

hopefully,
Bright

8. Yes, at McPherson square
Really nice bunch of people, but it's kind of overshadowed by the antiwar demonstration a few blocks south.
