A charitable organization, with help from several churches, have been feeding the area’s homeless breakfast downtown at 8:00 am. A bunch of businesses, residents and even passerbys have complained about this. They say it discourages business, and that people don’t want to be around the homeless. So the charity has stopped feeding the homeless breakfast.

Here’s why I have a problem with it: If no laws are being broken then why bother with it? There are laws against panhandling, and it seems the charity would discourage the homeless from doing that. If you just don’t like seeing them then move out of reality. I’m sure the real estate in fantasy land is cheap enough.

1. Pretty soon people will remember 2011 as the good old days

They'd better get used to seeing the homeless on their streets, because there are going to be more of them and they'll be there for a long time.

Maybe the people who are so offended by the sight of a homeless person will one day be in the same condition. I'd almost bet on it.

because it's gotten to the point that there are no words left to describe the disgust I have with those socially-challenged "I've got mine" monsters. I have no words left to describe my sadness at how low we've gotten.

5. As said above, joining the undesirables can give you an entirely new perspective on them.

People should pray to be so lucky as to not know homelessness...may the food return!!!
