Tea Party Group Urges Small Businesses ‘Not To Hire A Single Person’ To Hurt Obama

Now influential Tea Party leaders are throwing caution to the wind and openly lobbying business owners to stop hiring in order to hurt Obama politically. This week, Right Wing Watch picked up on a message Tea Party Nation sent to their members from conservative activist Melissa Brookstone.

In a rambling letter titled “Call For A Strike of American Small Businesses Against The Movement for Global Socialism,” Brookstone urges businesses “not hire a single person” to protest “this new dictator”:

It seems class warfare is very real indeed. Sad what this country has come to. OWS has to integrate job creation into our future America.

2. Basic business economics

What these folks don't understand is that a smart business person is not going to hire anyone based on tax breaks, incentives, or political forces.

Business are NOT in the business to hire people.

Businesses hire people if they think it will make them money.

Whether it it to sell something, produce something, or save some money. Otherwise, they are not going to hire.

It drives me nuts.

If your message is "We hate Obama so much we are willing to resort to scorched earth tactics and destroy our economy to hurt the president politically", you have self identified your group as economic terrorists.
