My thoughts are with the families and survivors of the Pan Am 103 bombing
I've been angry for a long time that we have not pursued this matter. I'm feeling an odd sense of vindication today. I can only imagine what the families are feeling today, but I hope they feel that some sort of justice has been served.

2. I guess what galls me is if we helped/allowed that bomber to get out of jail.
And then we use it to go after Quaddafi? Yup that is a source of a lot of my ambivalence.

3. One of the victims was my neighbor.
I knew her from the time she was born. She went to study art in London during her junior year and was coming home to her family for Christmas.

Beyond tragic.

4. While I agree that this was a reprehensible act of terrorism...
I have not been convinced that it was Quadaffi. Maybe so and I know that perhaps additional evidence has mounted since the original case but I have not seen it and don't necessarily swallow the "truth" as proposed to us by the MSM.

Further I would prefer to celebrate the liberation of Libya - Not the death of a murderous asshole. I mean I'm not trying to be mean - it is just I don't feel like it is sufficient closure for the Pan Am 103 bombing. That ship sailed years ago. Those folks are gone and can never be avenged (as if that would actually bring them back) - sorry. There is no real justice in our world. There is not a court which is capable of giving justice.

And perhaps worse - Quadaffi's death only marks the end of a dictatorship which our government supported until it became unable to at the last minute.
