Do we care
...that Abdelhakim Belhadj, the military commander of the Libyan rebel forces, whom we are currently lauding, was arrested as a Taliban "enemy combatant" and rendered to Libya by the CIA for torture? Just wondering.

3. Nope
Thanks to American Exceptionalism, everything that happens is a purely distinct moment in time, unrelated to past, future, or historical context.

4. I certainly care.
How many American and Canadian troops have died fighting the Taliban? How many 'suspected Taliban' have been locked up for years without trial, isolated and tortured?

It's like they're playing some sick game.

7. Didn't the CIA prop up both Ayatollah Khomeni -and- Hussein?
And give weapons to both sides so they'd soften each other up for our "help"? Yes, I believe so.

8. I care, Belhadj should not have been renditioned.
He's nothing but a Muslim teabagger, but he didn't deserve rendition.

9. He's the Tripoli Commander.
Belhadj was made commander of the Tripoli Military Council, after the rebels took over Tripoli during Operation Mermaid Dawn in late August 2011.<8>

10. The CIA will do anything that it thinks it can get away with to facilitate its missions for those in
power. The more I know about our corporate owned government, the more my stomach turns.
