Gov. Jan Brewer (r): Obama 'lectured me'

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer skewers President Barack Obama in a new book, saying the president was “patronizing” and “condescending” when she met him at the White House last summer.

“We sat down and started with some chitchat,” she writes in her autobiography, according to the Arizona Republic. “But after a few minutes, the president’s tone got serious - and condescending.”

The Republican governor not only accuses Obama of having been “patronizing” during their Oval Office sit-down, but also says the president “lectured me,” the paper quotes Brewer as saying in “Scorpions for Breakfast: My Fight Against Special Interests, Liberal Media, and Cynical Politicos to Secure America’s Border.”

Brewer had at the time described her talk with Obama as cordial, the paper writes . . .

The governor also said Obama “blew me off and walked away” at a 2009 commencement address at Arizona State University, the paper says.
