2. Which could or could not mean anything.
I read elsewhere that it takes a couple hours for a body to deteriorate enough for a good cadaver dog to pick it up, and that they aren't 100% accurate, and that they've alerted on furniture picked up second hand that in the past was in a place with a dead body around.

that said, the situation just sucks.

3. What surprises me is that they did not bring in the dogs on day one
It's always sad to see how local people get caught up in the "search", only to find out days/weeks later that the child was dead all along. It also makes it harder the next time, when there may truly be a missing child who needs to be found..one who was NOT killed and then lied about.

The truth is that MOST children are not being sought out by "intruders" who want to steal them from their beds. We see the stories about the few who are taken that way, and the media makes it seem as if every single child is being stalked and will be stolen away the first time a parent looks away,.. This is NOT true.

Most "missing" children are missing because someone close to them wants them gone, or someone close to them flipped out in a moment of rage, and killed them:cry:
