When the next big Teabagger protest happens...
Edited on Sat Oct-22-11 02:28 AM by MrScorpio
I fully expect that they all are maced, beaten, driven off of public property, face a suspension of their constitutionally guaranteed right to assemble peaceably, harassed, misrepresented, cursed at, arrested and belittled.

It's only fair.

After all, they're "little people" too, right?

1. Will there really be a 'next big one'?
All but one seemed tiny and pathetic.

That said - I fully expect mace and batons at the next tea party mini-me rally.

2. The Occupy movements have taken all the wind from the teabagger sails.
They'll be lucky if attendance at their events exceeds the single digits...

6. They don't seem to do rallies any more.
For awhile, every time you turned around there was another ignoramus in a tri-cornered hat with a misspelled sign and a gun, screeching about Obama and Kenya. But when was the last teabagger protest/rally? I think they are on their way out, at last. Public disapproval may have had an effect.

12. Fox has stopped promoting and advertising their events. It was always AstroTurf
The GOP needs to keep the crazy base angry, but doesn't want their Frankenstein's monster to to get loose, they want to keep it chained up.

7. There has never been a big Tea Party Rally and there never will be.
Glenn Beck managed to get a lot of his one-time viewers to come to DC for a get-together that had neither point nor effect but other than that, even considering the Koch Brothers financed seeding of the crowd with busloads of people brought in from god only knows where there were no 'big' Teabagger protests anywhere. It was all a sham where camera angles and clever wording of reporting gave the impression they were everywhere. They weren't and they never will be.

9. TeaBaggers don't have the stones to last more than 2 hours or so (on National Park land mind you)
As was discussed last night on Bill Maher people do respect the dedication and the TIME that those "kids" are putting in. You have to. The problem with the TeaBaggers is that they just showed up at indoor town hall meetings (mostly for the purpose of being on TV- illusion of size) or at rally's that are in the middle of the day, primarily a picnic at lunch time. The Occupy crowd makes them look silly and lazy in comparison.

TIME
not only is the time that they put in important but most importantly is that they are un-blurring the muddle timeline of when all this happened and who orchestrated it. Now that does include the Clinton years and the Obama years but everyone knows whose plan this was. Who has taken credit for it and WHEN they took that credit.

17. Teabaggers have been vocal and organized. While the Left has been disorganized.
In politics, the more organized side wins, there is no middle ground. My question on OWS is whether the people involved will take control of the political sphere of the nation. The OWS people can protest all they want to, and be right about every single issue, but unless they take that to ballot boxes during local, state and national elections, their current efforts will largely be wasted.

16. They were allowed to stand on the steps of the Capitol
and spit in the face of Congressman Emanuel Cleaver while screaming racial slurs. Right in front of police officers that did NOTHING.

They are allowed to protest

The double standard is so obvious, but of course most 'independents' or apathetic idiots are clueless and hardly notice.

Just look back at the Tea Party nonsense. Idiots with guns strapped to their sides and not a single cop''s Billy-club flailing around anywhere

They made sure the threat that they would be next time was there.

And all their signs about the blood of patriots and tyrants...
