At the top, and to be assured of round the clock endless media coverage being pretty, female, white and from a wealthy family is required.

Next is all of the above but male.

Then is not so attractive.

Then comes being working class, but still white.

Then comes non-white, but attractive children from well to do families, who are prioritized over the ugly and the working class or the poor.

The parents of a 5-year-old Arizona girl who has been missing for two days were not under suspicion and police had no evidence of a kidnapping, but investigators said Thursday they weren't ruling out anything

Jahessye Shockley (pronounced like "Jesse") was last seen by her three older siblings around 5 p.m. Tuesday after their mother went out to run an errand. Police suspect the girl left through the front door of her home in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale.

The girl's father does not live with the family and there were no fights between the parents over custody, said Glendale police officer Tracey Breeden.

This child was missing for over a week before the story made the national media. And that was only AFTER her relatives made a stink about the difference in coverage between her story and Lisa Irwin's story. Within 48 hours baby Lisa Irwin's story was all over the M$M, withe helicopters hovering over her neighborhood and hourly updates on HLN.

I hope this shames the media into covering ALL missing children reports, but I suspect it will still be dominated by coverage of missing white children with attractive pictures and lots of videos that can be shown over and over again.

Jerice Hunter, Jaheysse's mother, has already had her first 3 children removed from her custody. Her favorite form of punishment: beating her 3 and 7 year old's naked bodies with an electrical extension cord while the step-father, George Shockley, held them down by their wrists. But the 14 year old boy wasn't left out of the fun either. He got his fair share of punches and stick-whippings himself.

So, come home soon, Jaheysse.... I guess.
