Where have the Republicans been for the last three years??
They knew that Barack Obama said in 2008 that he was going to withdraw troops from Iraq by the end of 2011. They said nothing. They knew that George W Bush negotiated a deal with the Iraqis to withdraw all troops by the end of 2011. They said nothing.

Now that Barack Obama has announced that indeed all troops will be out of Iraq by the end of 2011, they are raising all holy hell? Did they just wake up?

They say that it is too quick of a withdrawal. After all, we have only been there about 9 years. We need just a little more time. They criticize the President for withdrawing the troops at this time. It opens up Iraq for the radicals in Iran. Now they see the danger. Too bad they did not see that when they were rushing to war in 2003.

It is embarrassing to watch them make fools of themselves. They are inept and unintelligent in their responses to this issue. They deserve nothing but ridicule.

1. Easy to explain
The republicans in congress keep their heads up butt of corporate American, you know those "people" who are corporations. They only pull it out when the presidents says something or does something that the "REAL" people of this country will be in favor of. They have to pull there heads out to try and say whatever the president did was, of course, wrong! They then will say they are doing the will of the "people" and then they put their heads right back up the butts of corporate america!

2. I wonder why President Obama didn't loudly declare that
he was merely living up to the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement negotiated and signed by the previous administration?

Shouldn't that have been made crystal clear?

3. To do so reduces his credit. Walking the line it could be argued is the political
"sweet spot" for getting a check on his campaign promise and not taking the heat when/if Iraq melts down.

5. They've been in the Oval Office dictating policy.
They may have been lulled into a false sense of security and are shocked that it seems Obama is going against their wishes.

That said, they always criticize him even when they get 110% of their desires. (I criticize him for the same reason.)

Perhaps they don't know this is Bush policy.

Perhaps we haven't finished stealing their oil.
