1. I was shocked at all the guns I saw in the Teabag photos
I mean I've never been anywhere where people were wearing those big guns, it freaked me out looking at the pictures, looked like they were all ready to fire on someone.

4. The only reason to openly display guns at a political rally...
is to intimidate the oppostition and short-circuit the whole "democracy thing".

One again, we see that the insane right has no commitment to actual democracy. They just want their way. Period.

to me it's nothing but a threat
and the fact it started so soon after Obama took office :scared: I'm sorry everyone but I will never not put these things together.

7. Like these?

I would like to see more of the above to counter these:

We're all armed, you know.

Now can we put down the guns and solve our problems?

12. But the Panthers were a direct repudiation of MLK
they said that his way of peaceful, non-violent protest didn't work. So I always considered them the right-wing black idiots.

14. The Black Panthers were systematically hunted down . . .
killed or incarcerated. Tea baggers, not so much. Why's that do you think?

13. Um, that's actually spelled correctly. The flag shows folds
Looks like it was windy that day. If you held the flag tight I'm sure it's probably spelled correctly.

I'm all for mocking the misspellings of the idiot teabaggers but really? You couldn't tell the wind was probably doing that?

8. The number one reason the police don't show up is because the
Tea Party has been successfully brainwashed to support the corporate supremacist agenda.

If they joined the OWS movement and brought their guns, the vast majority of police at the orders of the PTBs would crack down on them like white on rice.

So long as the Tea Party remains successfully brainwashed by the corporate media to have a Pavlov's Dog reaction against the words "big government" they could bring everything but bazookas and they would be left alone.

Thanks for the thread, sixmile.

10. You know what I see in those 3 photos - Three giant size losers
Probably none of them a day in the military. Probably all of them live a life that is pretty dull working a bullshit job they can't quit because if they did they couldn't pay the bill. To these people their only source of entertainment is finding someplace public they can walk around with their weapons. Because somehow they think they're all 'high & mighty' cause they showed up in public carrying a gun.

I'd like to see any of them in a warzone - they'd need diapers on their ass so they wouldn't shit their pants.

15. There were a bunch of armed guys at Occupy Phoenix
Not sure who they were, but they lined up against the cops that had the protesters surrounded.

20. Unrec'd
First for alleging, without evidence, that the Police aren't at Tea Party rallies. (Police tend to show up at ANY large rally, especially when there's a risk of conflict with counter-protestors)

Second for implying that they're afraid of armed protestors.

If what you're saying is that the Police don't engage the Tea Party Protester the way they do with OWS, the answer, quite simply, is that Tea Party people yell and screen for an hour and go home. If they attempted to "occupy" the Washington Mall or an abortion clinic or a Federal Reserve building for an extended period, I suspect they wouldn't be received andy more politely than the OWS people are.
