2. Just run the numbers.
Show the poor and middle class how badly they will get fucked if a flat tax is implemented. The tax system that is required is one where people that earn above a specific amount of money get a higher progressive rate and few, if any deductions. A person does not have to be a potential victim of a flat tax scheme to despise the idea of such a tax.
