1. All the mayors and governors of all U.S. cities and states ....
need to start staying in their cities/states and stop traveling around as much as they do.

If they can't stay home when they are needed then they should resign and let someone else have their jobs.

And also Congresspeople take too many trips overseas. They are supposed to be 'representatives of the voices of the people' in their states - they shouldn't be taking multiple Congressional Delegations trips to foreign countries (paid for by the taxpayers)!!!

6. Hmm, interesting.
The mayor was out of town. Who gave the authorization for the level of force to stop the protest?

9. That's what the troops will see too
Edited on Wed Oct-26-11 02:13 AM by LemmingWarrior
when they come home in Dec.--will they be tear-gassed and shot with rubber bullets too if there aren't jobs and they gather to protest!?!

Yet a certain Baptist church is allowed to gather outside the funerals of our slain soldiers carrying signs that say the most vile things for the bereaved family to see.

11. Where the hell is Jerry Brown???
I can't imagine he would be for the cops doing this crap. We didn't elect a right wing Republican governor. He has to put his foot down, even if its on the Oakland Police Chief's neck.

13. He's been conspicuously and despicably silent the past couple days. It's
incomprehensible to me really how these people in whom I placed so much trust are lining up on the wrong side of history. I'll never vote for Jerry Brown for any office ever again, the pissant.

15. If he's silent, it's probably because he doesn't care or, worse yet, quietly supports a crackdown.
In either case, his silence makes him complicit.

17. Agree 100%. He's on the wrong side of history and it will not be
kind to him or others who collaborated.
