"OaklandPD" is trending however, as a work-around.

Thread is full of updates of teargas fired at injured protesters, the wheelchair-bound, rubber bullets to the head, and so much more. When your tax dollars aren't being used for bailing out banks, or useless wars, they're going to support your local police, who will happily come after your ass if you protest those first two conditions!

3. Why is it not permitted to "trend"?
I don't Twitter, so I don't understand this.

5. Trend is their equivalent of greatest page
They come up as trending right now and don't have to look for it

6. Thanks.
I guess I was confused because it sounded to me like the wording of the OP suggested that it should have been trending (because of popularity?) but wasn't being "allowed" to trend.

I wondered why Twitter would interfere with "trending" of a popular post...if there was some reason they didn't want OWS to trend.

But maybe that's not how it works.
