Question about the house leader
Edited on Thu Dec-16-10 02:32 PM by Andy823
I know the president and the VP have to have a physical each year to make sure they are in good health, but what about the leader of the house, third in line to become president, do they also have to be checked out every year to see how their health is?

I really think Boehner needs a complete check up, both physical and mental exams. If he has a problem with alcohol, or if he has other issues he is covering up with alcohol, it needs to be brought forward. Someone with problems like he seems to have should not be third in line to become president of the U.S.!

1. Excellent question. Have we ever had a President who's an alcoholic? nt

3. Didn't Ulysses S. Grant
enjoy his liquor just a bit too much? I think Tricky Dick enjoyed a few too many cocktails as well.

5. Shrub was (and is) one. Going back in history, there are probably a lot of characteristics of
those rich white men that we would be surprised (or not) at.

6. Several - most recently the shrub. I don't think he's been sober for a minute since Jr. High.

2. May I point out that GW Bush* likewise had emotional issues...
and mental lapses that had many of us suspecting either he was still drinking heavily or covering up the long term effects of his drinking history. Yet, he did have to have those physical exams. Even noted psychiatrist Dr. Justin Frank suspected something amiss (authored "Bush on the Couch").

What makes you think the truth would be revealed even if he had a physical exam and alcohol or other related issues were uncovered?

7. Hell, they even kept Reagan's alzheimers secret from the
country. I suspected something at the time because they quit letting him talk to the media.
