Dogs tortured by teens after Edwardsville break-in

EDWARDSVILLE - A group of teenagers broke into a family's home last weekend, trashed the place and allegedly tortured their two pet Chihuahuas, one of whom died, police said Wednesday.

Jenny Clark, of Edwardsville, said she and her teenage son returned home Sunday afternoon to discover the damage and one of the dogs near death after having been tortured by the teens, who had broken into the home to party.

"I can barely talk about it," Clark said. "When we came home, my dogs ..… and my house was a wreck."

Clark said she was traumatized to find that her dogs had endured sustained torture while she and her son were gone for the weekend.

They found their elderly Chihuahua, Evie, in a coma, and the dog died in Clark's arms within an hour of their return, said Leigh Crowder, a close friend.

I am angry and speechless. Who are these inhuman trolls? I have this urge to take a baseball bat to them.

My guess would be that if these people had come home and found these people in their home, they would likely have been "tortured" also.
