Police: Colorado Springs man reports woman at his home as a burglar after girlfriend shows up

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Colorado Springs police say a man’s girlfriend unexpectedly came home just before another woman was due to visit, so he called police to report his new acquaintance as a burglar.

The Gazette reports that 24-year-old Kevin Gaylor was cited with a misdemeanor of false reporting to authorities.

Police say Gaylor had invited a woman he met online to come to his home after 3 a.m. Wednesday so they could get better acquainted, but his girlfriend came home first.

Police say that when the other woman arrived, Gaylor called police and falsely reported an intrusion. .........(more)

11. OMFG, this happened to someone I know.

He came home from working out of town to find a window broken and some guy running down the street. His wife was screaming to call the police, that someone was trying to break in! So they reported it, the guy got arrested and it went to court. My friend was supporting his wife the whole time, and he,in front of his parents and his in-laws, got the shock of his life. The 'burglar' took the stand, in front of the whole town and said, "I wasn't breaking IN, I was breaking OUT! His wife and I were having an affair and he came home early!" Needless to say all the charges were dropped and my friend is no longer married to that woman.

I really didn't think there was anyone else that was that stupid in this world. Looks like I was wrong!
