A group of concerned citizens, led by Convenor of the New Nation Coalition (NNC) Betty-Ann Blaine, this morning chained themselves to a median in Half Way Tree, St. Andrew as they protested against living conditions in Jamaica.
Blaine said the move is in solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street protest.
She has called for other Jamaicans to join the protest.
Meanwhile, members of the Marcus Garvey People's Political Party (PPP) disclosed that they will once again protest in front of the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) this afternoon against Jamaica’s loan agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
President of the party, Leon Burrel, said members will continue their protests until the Government decides to discuss the matter.
The group first demonstrated outside the BOJ last Thursday.
