It's incredible that he goes to such lengths to create his characters. This one is a conservative climate change denier who has already spoken before the US Congress and British Parliament. He has been featured in online right wing posts from such notables as Michelle Malkin as far back as 2009. He wrote an often quoted op-ed in the NYT about how Obama is set to cede US sovereignty.

On edit: I didn't realize it was a parody of a parody meant to ruffle the conservative feathers of Monkton until I was prompted to do further research.

I'm actually quite sad. Sad that this isn't an elaborate scam, and sad that this douchebag really exists.

Unfortunately, the problem with Poe's Law caricatures is that they are essentially the same as a real position, so it's not really satire at all; it's just a guy pretending to be a fake person who is nonetheless advocating a real position, as is the case with notorious Poe's Law websites. Essentially, a difference which makes no difference is no difference; and that' what these kinds of portrayals miss.
