Seventy percent increase in censorship requests to Google by US government or police

And this is not the only example of what is happening. This is part of an extremely disturbing pattern, and Americans should be alarmed:

Obama seeks permission to lie about Freedom of Information requests, even to the courts:

5. Likely because there has been a more than 70 percent increase in police brutality ...
in trying to suppress peaceful protests by the 99%.

24. We need to be very vigilant now about what they are doing.
They will become increasingly aggressive about maintaining control, and they will likely try to push some of it through legislatively, as quietly as possible.

14. Because Obama is a Constitutional Lawyer - they just didn't tell us pro or con.
On First and Fourth Amendment issues, he's turned out to be a con. And, all that implies.

15. Because OWS is very threatening
to the very few at the very top.

It's like it says in my sig... power concedes nothing without demand. Change 'demand' to 'a fight' and you get an idea of what this is. OWS won't win without a fight. The <1% are getting their pawns and pieces in place.

19. Because, even thought they talk big and act like nothing can touch them, they are afraid and think
they can stop what has started with censorship......they're wrong, and the more they persist with this type of shit, the more all of us will resist and become more resolved to fight them. I don't understand how they don't get this.

20. They NEVER get it.
Marcos in the Philippines didn't get it 25 years ago, the Soviets (excepting Gorbachev) didn't get it 20 years ago, Ben Ali didn't get it in Tunisia, Mubarak didn't get it, Gaddafi didn't get it and Assad doesn't get it.

TPTB never get it until it's too late. And then it sucks to be them.

22. You're right I fear. I know one thing, the more someone tries to trample on my rights, the more I
dig in and fight. Thanks for the short list of those who didn't or still don't get it until it's too late.....those who don't learn from history are destined to repeat it I guess.
