I was listening to WPR(Wisconsin Public Radio)--David Blaska(prick) was on. Joy Cardin asked him about Scott Olson being injured. He said something like--"The police said they needed to evacuate the area-apparently, he didn't get the memo." He said this with the same dismissive smug giggles that I hear from nearly any radio evangelist. The Pat Robertson chuckle. God, I hate these fuckers.

Joy does a Week-In-Review-talking to different folks from both sides of the fence. He chose to represent his side with evil, empathy-less prickishness.

6. I inherently distrust those with power over me-

I don't think of the police individuals as the enemy or anything like that. I simply do not trust my fellow humans and I assume they will not do the right thing. They are people. They are people that potentially have power over me. They can change my entire life if they do the wrong thing. That is a lot of power. This is scary to me.

4. It's been part of most societies for so long...

a willingness to overlook injustices simply because most of the people in society look down on those thought of as 'weak'... and the side being done wrong must be, by definition, 'weak'. It's not logical but too many people are far too willing to actually look for reasons, excuses, and rationalizations so they can take the side of the people who seem to be more powerful, despite the misuse of that power.

It has to stop.
