Manitoba drivers strongly urged to slow down

C'mon, do you really pay attention when you see a road sign like "Be alert for deer"? A hacker in Charleswood, Manitoba thought "Slow the f down" would better get people's attention.

The digital deer alert sign erected by Manitoba Public Insurance was hacked October 23, according to the Winnipeg Free Press.

The locks on the signs control panels had been broken off, a pretty low-tech hack, if we're honest. MPI had the signs turned off as soon as they found out about it.

Another sign nearby was also hacked to urge women "to show a little skin in honour of the Jets" hockey team, says the Free Press.
