Bachmann responds to request to resign from presidential run
http://cnnpressroom.blogs.cnn.com/2011/10/28/bachmann-responds-to-request-to-resign-from-presidential-run/

<snip>WOLF BLITZER, HOST, CNN'S "THE SITUATION ROOM": All right. Were you as surprised as I was, and maybe you were or you weren't, when this one Tea Party group, it's called American Majority - I wasn't exactly familiar with it, maybe you are since you've really been involved in the Tea Party movement - their executive director, Matt Robbins, issued a statement saying this. He said, "Let's face it," referring to you, "she's a back-bencher and has been a back-bencher congressperson for years. This is not a serious presidential campaign."

I want you to - when you heard about that, what went through your mind, because these are Tea Party activists?

BACHMANN: Well, of course, we found out that this is really a misstep on the part of the Perry campaign because these are Perry supporters that came out. This was a clumsy move. This was meant to be a stealth move to make it look like this was Tea Party, and apparently, these are Perry supporters that came out and it was just a clumsy move on their part to make this statement.

If Governor Perry has something to say to me, he can come out to the debates and he say it. But this was clearly - this egg on the face, unfortunately, for the Perry campaign. It certainly isn't a blow to my campaign because I've had non-stop support coming out of the woodwork from Tea Partiers all across the country ever since this came out.

Yes, so
she is out of MN. Maybe it'll make the 6th district wise up and stop electing her. Maybe I'm hoping for too much...

15. She's making money. Don't they get to keep the money
people donate to them? I get her emails, don't ask me how I got on her list and in every one of them, which arrive almost daily, she's begging for money. Our political system has become an embarrassment. They are like pan-handlers now, nothing more.

I imagine she'll stay as long as people keep giving her money, like the other grifter, Palin who kept pretending she was presidential material until she couldn't anymore. But she made a fortune.

What a scam, maybe we should all get in on the game and at least distribute the take among a few more people. It's so disgusting that I don't any longer see anything wrong with pretending to be a Republican. Those people will part with their money for anyone who just says 'liberals are the cause of all of our problems, elect me and I will save you from liberals'. What fun it would be to run a few hundred people around the country to take their money and donate it to the homeless. Our whole system is a joke.

6. Minnesota is losing a seat and it could be mostly her district affected.
The state has a mixed redistricting panel.

10. She has to stay in until November
Bachmann has a new book due out next month, "Core of Conviction: My Story". She won't throw in the towel as long as she's getting the free airtime to promote it and boost sales.

16. she can claim that, since there is no "central Tea Party" running the show,
and that it really isn't one big organization (and thus is not really organized, its "strength"), that she is staying in for the other 99.9% of the TEA Parties ...

(funny how the strength of the "TEA Party" movement is that it's not one big organized movement, it's a "grass-roots" thing, according to the "liberally-biased media", but ...

the weakness of the "Occupy Wall Street" protests is that it's not one big organized movement ...)
