2. I have a vision of protesters in unison joining hands and standing in absolute silence, as one.
Perhaps even with their eyes closed, singing together. Silently DARING the cops to start shooting.

Absolute passivity met with any violence at all means the cops completely lose, even if they hurt people.

But it won't happen. And I really don't want to see people hurt. I just think many cops would not, at this point, be able to bring themselves to hurt people standing there passively with eyes closed.

violence.

8. Don't be silly. They don't go from "please leave" to shooting people.
In that case they would go about pulling the protesters apart manually and cuffing them.
