increase on 1 million and up to create jobs. He sent me an explanation as to why he voted no and apparently this is it. Can anyone give me something to say back? I can't even understand what he is saying and I feel like it is a bunch of crap designed to cover up another load of shit. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

"Thank you for contacting me in regard to the American Jobs Act of 2011 (AJA). As you know the AJA was introduced by President Obama on September 12, 2011. While I recognize the need for pro-growth solutions to our nation's economic woes, this plan fails to address the fundamental challenges we face in regard to job creation. The president's answer to our nation's unemployment rate is an additional $447 billion in debt-financed spending and $453 billion in tax increases. At a time when our levels of spending are unsustainable, our focus should be on creating a business friendly environment allowing the private sector to flourish. For these reasons, I did not vote in favor of the AJA.
As of September 2011, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has put the national unemployment rate at 9.1%, up from 7.8% in January of 2009. As of September 2011, Florida's unemployment rate is at 10.6%, up from 8.5% in January of 2009. Jobs will only be created when job creators feel confident in the economic climate. We must also encourage investment in America's small businesses and foreign investment in the private sector. Our economy can only grow if we increase the availability of jobs and attract investment to promote the growth of business.
Unfortunately, the President's plan fails to quell the concerns of small business owners. Business owners across our state and nation are concerned about burdensome regulations, looming tax hikes, and an overwhelming federal debt and deficit which are making it nearly impossible to survive in this economic climate. These problems are preventing people from starting new businesses or expanding existing businesses by hiring new workers.
As Florida's junior senator, I am committed to working with anyone who proposes a serious plan that addresses these issues specifically. I believe the President's plan will only serve to further an atmosphere of uncertainty, which is detrimental to job creators. Again, I thank you for your input and will keep your concerns in mind should legislation in regard to job creation come before the Senate. "
