2. Not a world I want to live in.
And there are people who will justify this technology in the name of progress.

4. The new ankle bracelet ... but with handy kill power. Needless to repeat, we
are headed into this, couched as great for mankind. Dictators of the past would have loved our technological advancement and the easy path to compliant 'slaves.'

6. You're posting an article from a quack-med site linking to a Youtube video of a clip from FOX News..
...yeah, no. Here, let me link you a non-FOX News source... from 2 years ago when it was in the news. And the patent for it was filed 2 years before that in 2007.

http://www.thelocal.de/sci-tech/20090515-19313.html

To summarize: Germany's Patent Office says, "Nein." to the patent application.

8. I just ran across this item. Sources aside,
that this technology is even being considered is concern enough for me. Because Germany turned it down doesn't mean that some eager beaver security or data control freak elsewhere won't find a way to make it required.

11. To be clear, I wasn't debunking. It's a real thing and as the English-translated German article...
...pointed out, inventors often file for patents in multiple countries since there isn't a global patent office. I guess the takeaway here is A) old (but obviously disturbing) news by years and B) at least one major Western country has denied him a patent.

7. I dunno about "killer chips", but RFID's have been implanted in people for years...
Some parents are even getting their children "chipped". And they are getting smaller, cheaper, and more common. All Israeli soldiers are now chipped and it's just gonna grow.

How long before a National ID is no longer sufficient, and a national chip is required.

Brave new world out there folks, and the nightmare possibilities are endless.

13. I expect the Israeli gov't will implant all Palestinians soon.
If the Israelis are testing it on their army, a lethal RFID for all Palestinians would be a dandy way to control the population.

14. How does a patent application, that was denied by the way, translate into...
these devices being "here"?

Off to the Conspiracy Dungeon with this tripe.

15. Because there isn't a global patent office. Patents filed in individual countries that have their...
...own patent laws. Germany has denied him a patent in their country as such a device would apparently be illegal under German law, but that doesn't mean all others have denied him a patent in their countries as well. The guy filed for one in Germany in 2007, so it's a safe bet he did so in other countries over the past 4 years. No idea on the status of those applications.

16. Sure, all kinds of things are possible.
Maybe Dick Cheney really does have a secret weather machine.

But, asserting that it IS SO without any evidence is preposterous.

That's what the cited article does when it touts, in its sensational headline, killer RFID chips "are here".
