4. There's a hymn FTGF? I didn't know about it.
Is that one of those really old hymns?

5. My grandfather when to military school and fought in WWII. I think it was a military hymn.

And a religious hymn. My grandfather was a great man. He became involved in charity as a teenager and helped out many groups his whole life. He was also a staunch Liberal. I remember him as very kind. Went to fight at the front during WWII even though he was old enough that he didn't have to. He kept getting injured and he kept going back to rejoin his unit.

Here are the words:

"Fight the good fight with all your might,
For Jesus is your strength and right;
Lay hold on life, and it will be
Your joy and crown eternally.
Run the straight race in God's good grace,
Lift up your eyes, and seek His face,
The way of life before you lies
And Jesus is your path and prize.

Throw care aside, lean on your Guide;
His endless mercy will provide;
Just trust in Him and you will prove,
That Jesus is your life and love.
Fight the good fight.

Don't faint or fear, His arms are near,
He doesn't change, and you are dear;
Believe in Him, you'll see it's true -
Jesus is all in all to you.
Fight the good fight."

I don't know how well it squares with the theme of this post, but it is a good song.

11. Our Lady of Peace was my parish church when I was a kid
I counted my blessings that it wasn't Our Lady of Perpetual Sorrows. :)
