"Life in a Day" documentary is now free and online. . .
Given the situation with the world rallies around OWS, it seems like this was a great time for youtube to post the full 2010 documentary called "Life In A Day" - a first-ever chronicle of life on a single day on the planet Earth, filmed and submitted by thousands of ordinary people all over the world.

The documentary, which had some 4500 hours of film submitted from some 192 countries, shows snippets of the ordinary lives of citizens - sometimes mundane, sometimes dramatic - it is a fascinating look at how we see our own lives and how others live as well. This film premiered last year at the Sundance Festival and youtube simulataneously but had not resurfaced until late this spring and summer when it played select theaters. Directed by Kevin MacDonald, it seems to take a very interesting look into the many facets of humanity on a single given day of life.

The link to the actual film (which started being aired on youtube yesterday) is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaFVr_cJJIY&feature=watch-now-button&wide=1

The trailer is at: http://www.youtube.com/user/lifeinaday

The film asks people to reflect on what they love, on fear, and on hope - and I think it reveals some interesting looks at how common people think and live.
