Exclusive: Two women accused Herman Cain of inappropriate behavior
During Herman Cain’s tenure as the head of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, at least two female employees complained to colleagues and senior association officials about inappropriate behavior by Cain, ultimately leaving their jobs at the trade group, multiple sources confirm to POLITICO.

The women complained of sexually suggestive behavior by Cain that made them angry and uncomfortable, the sources said, and they signed agreements with the restaurant group that gave them financial payouts to leave the association. The agreements also included language that bars the women from talking about their departures.

*snip*

The latest statement came from Cain himself. In a tense sidewalk encounter Sunday morning outside the Washington bureau of CBS News — where the Republican contender had just completed an interview on “Face the Nation” — Cain evaded a series of questions about sexual harassment allegations.

Cain said he has “had thousands of people working for me” at different businesses over the years and could not comment “until I see some facts or some concrete evidence.” His campaign staff was given the name of one woman who complained last week, and it was repeated to Cain on Sunday. He responded, “I am not going to comment on that.”

He was then asked, “Have you ever been accused, sir, in your life of harassment by a woman?”

He breathed audibly, glared at the reporter and stayed silent for several seconds. After the question was repeated three times, he responded by asking the reporter, “Have you ever been accused of sexual harassment?”

5. And so the take down begins or escalates ---
He always just wanted to sell books and "motivational" speeches and a Pox Network contract IMO. He is calibrating just how far to go in this fake exercise.

Some entity (perhaps even Cain?) is feeding info to the networks, because they don't have the smarts to do the homework -- or if they have the info, are holding it until the last minute for ratings juice.

Romney WILL be the nominee unless the media figures that Perry will make the better ratings for the conflict story line. Perry is more confrontational, more "worthy" of stories to suit media purposes.

Perry is an idiot with a big bank roll, Newt is old news, and so is Romney -- Perry will be pumped as far as the media can take it until the final nominee. Then they will go into overdrive to manufacture a nail biter of an election -- again for ratings.

10. Cain's spokesperson all but confirmed the story
<But one source closely familiar with Cain’s tenure in Washington confirmed that the claims related to allegations of sexual harassment –
behavior that disturbed members of the board who became aware of it, as well as the source, who otherwise liked Cain.

snip

After several days of not responding to the question, Gordon (Cain's spokesman J.D. Gordon) emailed on Oct. 24 that any dispute about Cain’s conduct at the
restaurant association “was settled amicably among all parties many years ago.” >

In other words the women were paid off and signed a confidentiality agreement.

I hate to be an "I told you so type" but even as a straight male something about Cain's behavior has always made me think
he was the type to harass women.

29. This is most likely Republican on Republican violence
My guess is that the powers that be in the GOP have decided old Herman's had enough fun and have decided to take him out. If the Democrats had this they would have waited until the general election if he got the nomination.

The GOP establishment is behind Romney and are probably getting spooked by the rank and file's support for Caine. Whether it's Rove's doing or not, who knows.

I gues we can just all sit back and watch the fun!

26. Sexually harrassed by Herman Cain, just eww. He is so gross. I can totally see it because he has
an ego that won't quit. I'll bet he thinks all the women want him.

Just thinking of that singing video where he thinks he's Rico Suave, ick.
