Question about board mechanics (shouldn't need an admin) Buddy List?...

So I've been here a minute or 2, and am pretty familiar with board mechanics, 'scept one thing. (for now)

What does adding someone to your "Buddy List" do, in practical terms?

2. It just enables you to quickly find a friend if you want to send a PM.

3. I didn't think I knew the answer

until I went to My DU and found that I actually do have some buddies, and here is what it says under that section:

"Names listed are those from your DU buddy list that have Journals, sorted by Journal Update Time "

It puts the latest journal entries from your buddies into your My DU page.

It may do other things too, but I don't know.

I can't provide a terrific answer, I've used the buddy list just to remember people who I like.

There may be more to it than that...

6. TY all! I was hoping I was missing something...

but I guess not. It's useful, just not super-useful.

You know what would be super-useful? On "buddies" only, to be able to quickly pull-up their last 20 posts, or search by topic or keyword on a specific buddy.
