3. Agreed!
Perry would make a great president of Texas but this isn't the United States of Texas as so many conservatives want it to be. I lived down there for awhile. Their way doesn't work for any other state. They're barely civilized by modern standards. The legislature meets for six months every two years. They need to be a nation but their economy isn't big enough to render them self sufficient. Yet.

The Republican nominee will be Romney. He's twenty points ahead in New Hampshire. Others will fall away when their money dries up. I'm stunned that Santorum and Bachmann are still in the race.

If Obama has another bad jobs report and/or we have another awful retail Christmas season, I don't see how he survives. Would he even want to?

2012 will be ugly. There's renewed talk of pulling the plug on Sears, folding the tool and garden and electronics businesses into their other brand. Reasons are financial: Sears Holdings can't continue to float advertising for two brands, one of which has been consistently losing money for years. They need to be sold or consolidated. I'm betting on the latter.

Jim Carville may be right.

4. What the hell are you talking about? Barely civilized?
I don't know where in Texas you lived but it wasn't in reality, and it must not have been a town that was representative of the majority of Texas.

Obama won all of our largest cities/counties: Dallas, Houston/Harris, Austin/Travis, El Paso, San Antonio, etc.
(except for Ft.Worth - McCain won that one)

Btw, Perry won his 2006 election with only 39% of the vote. In 2010 he had over 50% but I think that was only because the voting machines are now rigged.

NO ONE I know likes Perry.

And don't worry yourself with Obama's re-election, if we have a bad retail Christmas season it will be because of the mess The GOP got our economy into.

My thread is NOT the place to bash Texas or Obama.

Have a nice week.

Good to know that no dissenting voices are welcome in your threads.

That's at least honest.

7. I don't believe Paul will drop out
He and his followers will stick it out to the disappointing end. Hell, he may even soar into double digits if enough republicans drop out of the primaries.

2. He'll stay in probably through NH.
Or maybe SC. He really has nothing to lose by staying in. It's not like he has a big staff to pay and he's getting tons of publicity. He'll sell more books and raise his speaking fees.

9. Nine, nine, nine!! Cain will not drop out ever, he's here to sell his book. He will be forced out!!
Cain has no business in national politics, he is just a douchebagger.
He's not even a bona fide teabagger.

He's just on the scene to sell his fooking book!

12. Herman Cain is not even in the race.
Herman Cain stands about as much chance of winning the Republican nomination as Ron Paul or Lyndon LaRouche.

A small, but vocal, group of supporters does not produce a nomination.

14. When he can't sell anymore of his books (around Easter)

Face it, as far as the Republican base goes, sexual harassment claims might even benefit him. those people are f@#ked up.
